The following letter was written by my niece, Samantha. It was a school assignment to write about someone with whom they would like to have dinner. Most of the students chose presidents or pop stars, but my niece chose me. I was surprised, honored and the letter brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Samantha.
Beyond beautiful. An incredible, touching letter.
What a lovely and thoughtful niece… Love you Scott, Steve
So beautiful and full of love. What a wonderful, sweet niece! I can’t believe she is 12 already!
Very touching to read. She’s a sweet young woman, and I should also note: she has great penmanship!
Wow! Such a wonderful way of saying I love you. Tell Ann, Rocky and Roman hi from Melissa, Oliver and Gus (Rocky’s heart buddy)! Hugs.
So touching. It brought me to tears. Scott, you are such a brave and good man. You would be my choice for dinner, too.
Much love,
Rogers
Sam is a gem – just like her Uncle Scott!!! Lovely letter packed with love & tnpightfulness. Scott,, this is another testament to the power of your inspiration in others..
Auto correct error. Should have read THOUGHTFULNESS.
Scott-
A truly special letter, a wonderfully warm, honest, and loving reflection. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful writing. Great perception. I understand her wish of having real conversation with her Uncle Scott, in a direct way. Luckily, I can still identify the subtle movements in your face that signal “yes” and “no”. Also, I still see your smile, in your eyes. Our life-long relationship, helps me to quickly know what you are saying. We laugh about it, but I wish we had real telekinetic powers. Right at the top of my mind. You will always be there. You are always there with us, and as you said the love stays here. It will never leave.
Love, your brother-
Dan
